Meet Ruby

This week at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay I had the chance to spend some time with Ruby, a 1  1/2 year old Terrier mix. It’s official.. I wanted to take her home! Our apartment would be too small for her otherwise I would jump at the chance. I’m such an affectionate person that Ruby’s hugs and kisses would never be lost on me. Her wiry hair added to her lovable character as well.

She was leading us from dog park to dog park and we were trying to figure out where she was taking us. As you see in the video, she knew exactly where she was taking us. To the coolest spot of dirt around! It was super hot outside, I wish I had my own cool spot of dirt to lay in.

Dogs – All Over the World

Today I’m taking you to Nice, France where both the scenery and food are delectable.

I also got a glimpse of what a day is like in the life of a dog in Nice, France and I must say… all of these years of treating them like humans has finally paid off. They have evolved! 🙂  First there was this Bichon Frise riding around town on a scooter. I asked if I could hitch a ride but he said there wasn’t any room. The photo is blurry because I had to take it quickly before he drove off. I guess my camera couldn’t focus in time.

Then there was the German Shepherd mix sunbathing. He must have left his towel and book at home.

Exciting Announcement

Hi there!

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend as much as I am. You may be wondering who this beautiful dog is in my YouTube video below. Well, I’m officially volunteering at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and will be featuring one dog a week in hopes of getting them adopted!

This week I had the opportunity to feature Bambi, a 3 year-old Labrador Retriever mix who is up for adoption at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and I must say, the experience was incredible. The video tells you all about Bambi but I wanted to elaborate about my experience a bit here.

Bambi has been at the Human Society for more than 30 days and I have to say, any family would be lucky to have her as she really is the total package. When we walked up to her kennel, she was patient and very easy to leash. She was also a pleasure to walk and had the best disposition. Did I mention she also follows commands like sit, stay, come and gives both paws? I had the best time watching her play outside and I know she would bring such joy to any family she joins. I didn’t want to say goodbye, but my wish is that when I go back next week, someone will have already adopted her.

Doggy Strollers

TGIF everyone! Does anyone have any exciting weekend plans? We’re just going to relax and get a few things done around the apartment. I have a new London Broil Crock Pot recipe I’m going to make, which has me salivating just thinking about it!

Pomeranian at Apple Store

Pomeranian at Apple Store

So as you know we just moved recently. We’ve been so busy almost every weekend however we’ve been able to get a lay of the land and check out our new “hood.” We happen to live right by the mall and to my surprise and delight, it has an Apple store! (I’m an Apple snob-no judgy faces!) We were in the store and out of the corner of my eye I saw a stroller. A very nice stroller. As I took a closer look, I realized it wasn’t a baby in the stroller but a Pomeranian!! Haha I couldn’t believe. Is this a thing now? Either way it was amusing. If you have ever looked into a stroller expecting to see a baby and saw a dog instead I would love to hear about it!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Catching up

So much to catch you up on, so much I need to catch up on with you all!

New job, new car, new apartment, new city.

We’ve been busy the last few months! I finally feel settled. Remember that apartment complex that does the doggy DNA? Welp, we ended up moving there and I have to say, we love it! Lots of dogs around, which means I’m in heaven and no poo on the ground like our last apartment. The rule is definitely odd, but it seems to be working.

Before we moved we said goodbye to some good friends and I couldn’t help but take a picture of my friends dog, Harvey. Only I would take goodbye picture of dogs and forget to take pictures of the entire group.

After discussing it, we’re giving ourselves a deadline to get a dog. Our families have dogs but we didn’t want to get one until we were more settled. We want to start small, since we’re living in a apartment and work during the day. I’m thinking Pomeranian he’s thinking Jack Russell. Any advice?

I’m so glad to be back and settled. I have missed you all! Oh and Happy 4th!!
